FlowBank is a mobile banking application designed specifically for Gen Z users (18-25 years) who want a simple, visual, and engaging way to manage their finances. The app focuses on reducing financial anxiety through clear visualizations and gamified savings goals.

The Problem

Young adults find traditional banking apps overwhelming and intimidating. Research showed that 68% of Gen Z users avoid checking their bank accounts due to anxiety about their financial situation.

The Solution

A mobile-first banking experience that makes finance management feel less like a chore and more like a personal assistant helping you achieve your goals.

User interviews with 25 Gen Z users to understand pain points

Key Learnings

Through this project, I learned the importance of user research in challenging assumptions. Initially, I thought users wanted more features, but research showed they actually wanted simplicity and clarity.

The use of progressive disclosure helped reduce cognitive load, showing only essential information on the home screen while making advanced features easily accessible.

Visual feedback and micro-interactions were crucial in building trust for financial transactions, making users feel confident about their actions.
